What is TweetTunes ?

TweetTunes is a Twitter application on the web. It takes information about artists and bands from Twitter and processes this information so that it is viewable by you. It is powered by Twitter and Last FM.

How does it work ?

TweetTunes is a pretty straightforward application. It holds a database of music artists and bands. Every once in a while, TweetTunes will search Twitter for recent tweets about these artists or bands. It then uses this information to create a list of recent tweets and some useful statistics about Twitter activity.
There is a little more that goes into it, though. TweetTunes will automatically filter out any tweets that aren´t relevant to the artist or band. This is in beta stage, so it´s not perfect quite yet ...

TweetTunes uses Last FM to get information about the bands and artists that it displays. The artist description and top albums/tracks information that you see on an artist´s page are provided by Last.fm.
